All aluminum, ultimate high MPG hybrid vehicle. Old MPG EPA rating was 61 city/70 highway/65 combined. Since I've owned it, I've averaged 62.5 MPG. Used as a daily driver (55 highway miles round trip). Mechanically very sound.Lots of newer parts:254k miles: Rebuilt transmission that shifts beautifully, Exedy clutch/pressure plate, pilot bearing, throw out bearing, rear main seal, clutch slave cylinder bled and fresh transmission oil.250k miles: Lower mileage driver seat, passenger side lock actuator, passenger side wiper linkage bushing, A/C recharge, repaired rear and side motor mounts, replaced exhaust bolt springs, one ground strap, EGR plate and valve cleaned.248k miles: Brake master cylinder, front calipers, rear wheel cylinders, rear cylinder brake pipes, flushed brake system and brake pads.217k miles: Resealed oil pan, timing cover & front lower part of head gasket. Re-adjusted valve lash.208k miles: Radiator cap, radiator, belt tensioner & serpentine belt.206k miles: O2 sensor, clutch slave cylinder, A/C recharge and both catalytic converters.7/6/13: New windshield with wet seat belt fix on passenger side.OEM radio, but upgraded Kenwood door speakers. All aero panels are in tact. No check engine, IMA or other warning lights and good IMA battery that's been maintained and reconditioned with a Hybrid Automotive grid charger that will be included with the purchase of this car. Lifetime MPG: 56.6. 12V battery 2 years old. Cleaned headlight lens with HID Projector lens. All 4 tires are Bridgestone RE92's and have good tread. A/C works and blows cold. The only reason I am selling it is because I bought a newer, lower mileage Insight. My roommate is currently driving it, so mileage will increase. There are no known issues on this Insight, other than some minor cosmetic blemishes which should be expected from a daily driven 18 year old vehicle. I have meticulously gone through this Insight and have repaired everything including rebuilding the transmission. It shifts beautifully! I also replaced the rear main seal which is the most labor intensive seal to replace on any vehicle. This a turn key, ready to drive away, need nothing, solid running vehicle that should not need any repairs for years to come.Unfortunately I do not have a mileage or date of IMA battery replacement. It rarely drops below 17 bars of charge though.
